First in the series by John Martinez. The poster depicts a fictional turn-of-the century "ace" aeronaught. Stylistic simplicity is achieved using the cut paper technique pioneered by ProCreations with its series for the New Orleans Jazz Festival. The dramatic effect forces the viewer's eye to fill in the details left incomplete by the artist not showing even a single complete balloon. This poster quickly sold out and was hailed as an instant classic, firmly establishing the value of the series as a limited-edition silk-screen poster.

Published as a limited-edition serigraph in an original edition of 500 artist-signed and numbered prints plus an unsigned edition of 2,500 numbered prints. 19" x 33.5".
