Seventeenth in the series by Michael Atkinson. Atkinson's sold-out 1994 image led to this dramatic sunrise pueblo scene. Bathed in warm Southwestern sunlight, the long shadows draw the viewer's eye deep into the image. The use of rich reds, yellows, pinks and tans in the sky, adobe structures and ground, set off against a small amount of cool blue above the mountains give this print a particularly strong impact. The Fiesta continued to showcase gas balloons with the creation of a new event within the Fiesta: America's Challenge Gas Balloon Race. In a vain attempt to satisfy demand for both the artist's work and the Fiesta's poster, the signed edition was increased to 1,500 prints.

Published as a limited-edition serigraph in an artist-signed edition of 1,500 numbered prints plus an unsigned edition of 2,500 numbered prints. 33" x 24".
