Boston
Marathon : The Classic American Footrace |
Presented annually by the
Boston Athletic Association since 1897 and considered by runners the
world over to be the definitive marathon. The race was inspired by
the participation of BAA members in the Olympics of 1896, though it
was not won by a BAA member until 1957. The modern race runs from
Hopkington to Boston. As the world's pre-eminent producers of event
graphics, ProCreations was asked to develop a program commemorating
the Marathon, which it did for six years. |
